Turkey and Camembert Burgers (Bunless)

Ingredients

Burgers:

  • 675 g (1 1/2 lb.) of ground turkey
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of chives, chopped
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of fresh sage, chopped
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) of bread crumbs
  •  Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 180 g (6 oz.) of Camembert cheese, cut into 4 slices

Sauce:

  • 1 pouch (39 g) of Chef LELARGE Fine Cuisine White Wine Suprême Sauce Mix, prepared according to the directions
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of chives, chopped
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of fresh sage, chopped
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) of fresh thyme, finely chopped
  •  Salt and freshly ground pepper

Directions

  1.  In a bowl, combine all burger ingredients except the Camembert.
  2. Make eight large, thin patties and stack them two by two, inserting a slice of Camembert in between. Set aside.
  3. Add the herbs to the warm White Wine Suprême Sauce, then season and set aside, keeping warm.
  4. Grill the turkey burgers on the barbecue for 4 to 5 minutes on both sides, or until meat is cooked.
  5. Top burgers with sauce and serve.

This dish is delicious served with rice pilaf and grilled vegetables.
